    Ok, back to old school, even with overnight deliveries these days sometimes you want a solution and want it now

    So adding an oil pressure gauge, best place IMO is right where the oil feeds the main / BE bearings.

    It has a large blanking plug as standard and most Smiths / Durite senders have 1/8 NPT.

    So I pulled the plug, drilled at 7mm, back drilled from the other side with a step drill to hollow out the inner edge.



    Final drill out the actual hole and then thread with a 1/8 NPT tap. Not as good as Bobs machined parts however will do the job nicely !

    Old school bt a 1/8 NPT tap is an essential in the toolbox and supplied with most tap/die set !!!

    Takes longer to order one online than make it and way more fun.
