Quick historic picture, my stiletto made it back on the roads after more than 20 yrs, (2 years ago it was still a caniblised shell), and not far from the mot centre the 1822 railway line designed by George Stephenson, its 61 years since coal trains ran to Sunderland from here, the line was ripped up the following day. (Bottom picture) of useless trivia , the area behind the camera is George vardy plant yard.. cousin to Reg Vardy, the used car sales franchise.

More engine advice required. Trying to establish the spec of my engine. I suspect it’s fitted with a carter BV head. I have found some numbers stamped on the block underneath the thermostat housing, I know Reg Pattern does this but I’ve spoken to him and he doesn’t have a record of the number. Do any other known engine builders stamp in this location?… Tia James.
