Quick trigger wheel design for standard Imp crankshaft pulley - make your own ?





After a bit of a conversation on trigger wheels I just thought i would share the quick design I did for mount of a trigger wheel onto a standard imp crank with no modifcations to the pullEy and also allows a little adjustment.

What can I say, my mehcanical skills on screen were getting rusty

So here we have a 3 part bush for the flywheel which can be mostly laser cut or machined (wheel laser cut)

















I have the 3D models for all of these if anyone fancies having a go

The more simple solution which i will be trying first is this.

Just the trigger wheel and a couple of pillars / bolts which utilise the existing threaded boss in the existing standard crank pulley, these are already in line with TDC so will be 90 deg out from missing tooth.

I tried an online quote for fun, looks like 10 pieces is MOQ and worked out at £100 or so for the 10 parts.

Was great to see how these new online resources can be leveraged for parts fabrication
