Thanks John have ordered a chassis kit from rust.co.uk. Even comes with a spray gun. Today I have removed all the rear suspension, brakes, handbrake cable and subframe. Everything covered in underseal so I am covered in crap! Stripping and and prepping everything for paint.

Have spent the last couple of days separating the old universal joints, it was a complete sod of a job! Completely fused with rust everywhere. One was a grease nipple type with no grease nipple in the hole so completely solid with rust. Had to share this as my wife has no idea why I’ve been in the garage swearing allot! Haha. Got new parts from the club ready to rebuild them. But first more painting.

Dan, yip, they need to be clean and go in smooth, damaged more than a few needles refitting them trying to take short cuts on cleaning up. I almost clean them to polished state now.
The manual shows all sorts of jigs and presses, a nice how to to do it in a standard vice would be cool.
I don't have any to do at momemnt, perhaps one of the others if they have any to do can add some top tips./ John

We have made Salmson & Riley universal joints for gearbox to propshaft , normally it's me that puts them together , l find l use a number of suitable sockets and a small bench press , nothing elaborate.
Should assemble easily with no excessive force . case of trial and error on first attempt , nothing ventured nothing gained Dan

Yip, you will get the money back in saved materials over the cost of rattle cans in no time as well.
The EM121 settles nice and flat as well,
Every gun is a bit different but once you get used to yours it will pay dividends.
Great for painting fences as well, lot better than those airless sprayers
