Thats the 1/4 lights picked, cleaned, flatted and primed.
What a pain in the back side, could have prepped a wing quicker
Will leave that till tomorrow, coat of black enamel and assemble into frame.
Not very exciting but there we go.
Now to try and get the crap off my hand splint, I should hav ewrapped it in cling film but what would the neighbours say

Well that was an evening of pain.
All done now though.
Rebuild of 1/4 lights now and should be ready to fit drop glass back in. Going to take a bit of thinking though as the quarter lights take a bit of massaging and I cant exert that amount of force anymore.
Was thinking cutting steel template to jam in corners with a bit of adhesive on each corner, let set then fit glass. Need to get thinking cap on.
At least thats the inside painting stuff all done so i can get rid of the poly sheets now..

Strip out, some adhesive and part of a bicycle inner tube cut along its length.
That was a tip from Graham Anderson a long time ago on rear hatch which is about same gap.
Good modern PU sealer / adhesive though could easy be used instead on its own as the gap is small, would just need to make jig to hold the glass./ John

Jings!! He must have taken it with him when he moved out of his old place, from what I remember it was rotten back in 2009.Originally posted by John A. Ross View Post

I remember finding the original engine cover at Dougies and thinking i know that plate !
No way of colour coding those plugs John the same as the rest of the car, make them more or less invisible with the body? A bit late now I guess with that suggestion which you may already have had.
